MDS / GDP
GDP - the size of the economy
What it measures
The value of final goods and services produced within a country over a period. Real GDP adjusts for price changes, nominal GDP does not.
Why traders follow it
Check the country and comparison basis. An annualized US quarterly growth rate is not directly comparable with an ordinary quarter-on-quarter rate. Initial estimates can be revised.
Check the country, period and source. A single value or regime label does not determine a trade's direction.
