MDS / LIQUIDITY
Liquidity, spread and slippage
What it measures
Liquidity is the ability to execute a trade without materially moving the price. The spread is the difference between buying and selling prices. Slippage is the difference between expected and actual execution prices.
Why traders follow it
Spreads and slippage may increase around a release. A visible chart level does not guarantee execution at that price. This is especially important for position sizing and prop-account limits.
Check the country, period and source. A single value or regime label does not determine a trade's direction.
