US Treasury statistics on cross-border securities transactions and other flows. Long-Term is one component, not the overall total.
Why traders follow it
A negative figure in one series does not mean investors are fleeing all US assets. Consider the composition and revisions. The data lag and do not determine the dollar's direction on their own.
Check the country, period and source. A single value or regime label does not determine a trade's direction.
