The price of one troy ounce of gold in US dollars. Spot quotes, futures and broker CFDs are different instruments. Their prices and trading hours may differ.
Why traders follow it
Check the price source and timestamp. Compare benchmark levels with a comparable quote and allow for the spread. A one-dollar move is not a one-percent move.
Check the country, period and source. A single value or regime label does not determine a trade's direction.
