The ECB sets euro area monetary policy. Publications quote different rates. The deposit facility rate and main refinancing rate are not interchangeable.
Why traders follow it
Check which rate is quoted. Compare the decision with expectations and the post-meeting statement. Inflation projections and guidance on next steps also matter for EUR.
Check the country, period and source. A single value or regime label does not determine a trade's direction.
