MDS / US10Y
US10Y - ten-year US Treasury yield
What it measures
The market yield on ten-year US Treasury securities. It is neither the Fed policy rate nor a bond price. TNX refers to ten-year yields and TYX to thirty-year yields.
Why traders follow it
Review the change in basis points and its cause. Yields may rise because of rate expectations, inflation or risk. For gold, distinguish nominal yields from real yields.
Check the country, period and source. A single value or regime label does not determine a trade's direction.
